First Respondors

Let’s get back together.

Our plans to hold WEMSA 2021 in person, in Rothschild, WI, continue to move forward as originally planned.

We believe that bringing the EMS community together face-to-face each year is important – not only for the hands-on educational opportunities, but also for networking, building relationships, and preparing you for the challenges and experiences you face in the field. Simply put, there is no substitute for in-person interactions.

With that said, WEMSA encourages emergency medical service providers to be fully vaccinated and to wear masks throughout the event.

We’re excited to have everyone back together at WEMSA, October 28-30, 2021. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at

Thursday night, 10/28:

7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Mike Tischer - Jukebox Bingo

Jukebox Bingo!

Yep, it’s a thing! Picture a party game that combines “Name That Tune” with Classic Bingo and add the atmosphere of a rowdy dueling pianos session – complete with singing, laughing, sometimes a little dancing. It’s the “un-Trivia” for pubs and bars looking for something more social and friendly, and a great interactive event for corporate, association, or private events and parties.

Friday, 10/29

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Directors Social

The Directors Social is a gathering of EMS and Fire leaders across Wisconsin providing opportunities to engage, network, and connect with fellow colleagues and experienced professionals.

This event features a Networking 101 snippet from EMS Career Coach, Brett Lyle of Brett Lyle Coaching. Brett Lyle is a personal development, professional development, and health and wellness coach. She brings a wealth of useful inspiration and motivation to share.

This great boost is followed by a comedy performance by Comedian Mike Maxwell to increase your spirits.    Mike Maxwell is a Chicago area comedian, emcee and actor. Although he performs nationally, Mike is a regular at the Chicago Improv and has performed at all the major clubs in Chicago. Outside of stand up comedy, Mike is a writer, producer and performer of several projects. Maxwell is a guy you can’t help but like, and his relatability and charm are immediately obvious in his set.

In addition, there will be time for mingling, networking, hors d'oeuvres, and more.
